help with boost taper...

help with boost taper...

Ok so i have my manual boost controller setup for 24 spike, and holds 22 till about 6000rpm. Where it drops to 16psi and kinda holds till 7k. Any run right after the first one the boost does the same and holds till 6k but then drops to 16psi at 6k and by 6500rpm and on im at 11-13psi till redline....HELP ME!?!?!?!!? PLEASE

Have you done a boost leak test ??
If not then that's the first thing you should do.
Also what are your mods ??

did a boost leak test and she holds 22psi fine....the turbo cap blew off and almost nailed me...lol my mods include the following...ppi ported hotside, exhaust manifold, ported stock O2 housing, testpip, and stock modified catback and manual boost controller.

ive tried 2 diffrent mbc...buschur inline and homemade inline.... is it possibly my wastegate??/ i only have 23k miles on her... HELP ME!!! Please....

the evo ix's tend to taper more than the viiis. Are you tuned?

yea it is tuned...tuner is the one that told me to look at it as he says im losing a good 50hp atleast up top...

yea...it was during tuning he told me that it is not normal taper...

his guess is my wastegate and that it needs to be adjusted....anyone that can help me out on how i adjust it....and do i make the shaft shorter or longer to hold boost better???

did anyone touch wastegate before? if not, it doesn't need to be touched.
there is a wastegate spring mod under how to section, you should check it out, since you are using MBC
