Thanks for all the kind words. I did look around, nobody had cameras on the back of their stores. Although I didn't ask, I just looked to see who I might bother asking. I do have the touch up paint, but I'm pretty sure this is a repaint. There are spots where the paint even chipped up. Making these little circular holes around the line in a few spots. Besides, my insurance covers vandalism, with a lower deductible than collision, so hopefully they will pay for the repaint and not raise my rates.

And I do agree, I would've been worth it to catch this person in the act, I'm sure they wouldn't key another car in their life afterwards.

Its sad so see how many other people have shared my experience and it is disturbing that this fact brings me comfort.

I share your pain man. I used to live an a big apartment complex before I got my house and some moron door dinged the hell out of my passenger side from quarter panel on my Mach 1 that left a chip so deep you could see the primer.

Everyone that lived in the surrounding buildings knew I worked for the local sheriff's office (Im on your side guys, don't flame me!) so I'm sure it was done intentionally.

Hopefully when my Evo gets here in a couple of days, that won't happen again.

Ugh, that is a ridiculous.

There is absolutely no reason why anyone should be so low as to do such a thing.

Where did this happen by the way? Was it in the lot on Cricket ave. behind the pizza place and party store?

Did you notify the Lower Merion Police? Normally I'd say police would be a waste of time, but with the number of police in LM they could probably start a task force.

That same **** just happened to me about two weeks ago. Its very aggravating because I am just as meticulous as you are.

I did the best I could with wetsanding and touch up paint. You can make it look a little better, but the fact is its still there

are you good with touch up work at all? I'm trying my hand at it with some bad rock chips and going to do a write up on it with some pics and maybe that will help you out. It's definitely not cool to do that though. Most kids and people like that need a good *** whipping to learn respect these days.

Ouch.

People are just very petty creatures sometimes ... I've been in a similar position, and the frustration is almost crippling. I hope insurance comes through for you and it all gets taken care of. Best of luck.
