Iv been searching for awhile and I cant find a complete list of the Mechanical differences from the 04 to 05.

I wanted an 05 or 06 but found a really good deal on an 04 and would like to make sure its still an equal capable car and if the differences are easily changed.

05's have no Hid's

 

actually late 04s had a 10.5 hotside but I remember what the built dates were, chances are though it has 9.8 and the 04s dont have a front LSD unless its a RS.

 

some do. Mine has the ssl package and i have HIDs

 

So the 04 doesnt have a front LSD? What kinda diff is it then? seems like kinda a big deal.

Or is it replaceable for fairly cheap?

Ya its a important part, the 04 RS has one just not the GSR. No its not cheap to change.

unless your car is RS you shouldn't have it.
