Buying new EVO 8 with less than 10 miles..
My dealer had only one on the lot and not what I wanted so I made requests, one of which was a car w/< 10 mi. on it. They found one in Portland that met my specifications with 13 miles, I said ok. It's sweet! Handles like a fu***ng dream and is fast as sh*t! Was it abused in its first days? I'll never know and at this point don't want to/don't care. It's under my sweet, loving care now. Also, I think the potential for abuse goes down as the cars are out longer, for some of the novelty is wearing off. But, the lower the miles the better in my book.
hrmmm, PDI? and why only 2 miles = legal issues?
EDIT:
Ok now i know what a PDI is, pre delivery inspection. what does this actually included? what do they have to do to the car before it reaches the consumer?
i noticed on my paperwork they had put down 10 miles on the odometer, and thought nothing of it at the time of purchase.....

PDI is to ensure that if anything happens to your car (ie lugnuts fall off), the dealer is free from responsibility because they inspected the car before turning the keys over.

You lucky son of a gun!
I hope I will be able to find my 04' EVO with that kinda milege...
I'll print a copy of this photo and bring it with me to the dealerships when I go EVO shopping...
Mine had 13 miles on it when I took delivery, but that's counting the run to the gas station to get it filled up with 93. Over 1200 miles now, and it runs like a dream...getting stronger every day!
its just a few miles. whats the big deal.by the time you drive it home it wont even matter, and i dont believe they let customers test drive these so its all from delivery and moving it.
