I bought my Evo VIII last year with 55,000 miles. I noticed when I drive from phoenix to los angeles, up around 2 hours of driving, my car would throw an SES light and seem to misfire and would cause a lot of vibration, like it wasn't running on all cylinders. I would give it a little rev, and would be fine for a minute and would misfire and act up again. I pull over and turn my car off and disconnect my battery, reconnect, and start it up and it would be fine. This only happens when I drive long distances.......anyone have a clue to what might be the problem.

The Evo is my daily driver. Has Espelir Cat back, test pipe, Megan Racing DP, K&N Typhoon Intake ( came with the car), MBC at 20psi, and Walbro 255 fuel pump and flashed

 

take off that crappy intake.

that intake is possibly the worst one you could put on your car. yes out of the billions of intake systems, that is the worst.
