Need help with gauge relocation!
Hey guys... im almost done with swapping my gauges and my radio in my 9 MR.... HOwever.. The vacuum hose for the boost gauge will not come close to reaching the upper din. What did you guys do? Should I Just get a plastic fitting and get another hose to stretch?
I did this a couple weeks ago and it was very simple. Theres a how-to written up on it. When i was reconnecting the hose it was pretty tight, just re-route it back up and behind the hvac controls. Mine didn't have much slack so i had to angle the guage pod and connect the hose first then connect the others.
basically when you unplugged the radio, you had to send the black wire and the white tab down behind the hvac controls so you could plug the radio in where the guages were. Just do the same thing with the guage wires. Like i said there wasn't much slack for the vacuum hose.

"Mine reached fine. I did snake it around the back of the AC harnesses though. There is a way."
Did you put your boost on the left side of it though? I mean I can see a possibility of it reaching up to the right side of the gauges but not the left...
