you could re-route the hose through the upper part of the firewall behind the strut on the passenger side

Alright... I'm not too familiar with the firewall setup.. Basically I reroute the hose from the origin and put it through a different firewall?

I did this a couple weeks ago and it was very simple. Theres a how-to written up on it. When i was reconnecting the hose it was pretty tight, just re-route it back up and behind the hvac controls. Mine didn't have much slack so i had to angle the guage pod and connect the hose first then connect the others.

basically when you unplugged the radio, you had to send the black wire and the white tab down behind the hvac controls so you could plug the radio in where the guages were. Just do the same thing with the guage wires. Like i said there wasn't much slack for the vacuum hose.

I had the same issue when I swapped mine, all I had to do is pull on the boost line a little to get some more slack, hook it up and make sure its reading correctly then vuola!

Mine reached fine. I did snake it around the back of the AC harnesses though. There is a way.

Like others have said try pulling on it and getting some more slack. It should be able to reach up there.

Did you put your boost on the left side of it though? I mean I can see a possibility of it reaching up to the right side of the gauges but not the left...

My boost gauge is on the left, just give the boost line a pull and it should work out fine.
