Noise, Need Help Please!

i have a odd noise that is driving me crazy because i cant figure it out.
when taking off from a dead stop i get a kind of knocking noise. its between 4 to 8 knocks and its done until i start driving from a dead stop again.
last night i noticed its only at 1500 rpm and only when the car is driving.
i can sit and hold rpm at any point between 1000 and 2000 and it wil not make the noise. also on a cold start the rpm sits around there and no noise.
i can also coast the car in 1st and on de-accel dropping on and below 1500 there is no noise but when i hit the gas the knocking comes back.

to be honest its only really there when the car dips in rpm when your feathering the clutch out besides the whole coasting below 1500 and hitting the gas

im stumped

anyone have any ideas?!

I have the same noise too.... Does it happen only when taking off slowly like under normal driving circumstances? It is also noticeably louder when turning left or right while taking off slowly. I was thinking something like a wheel bearing

Is it just a niose or can you feel something knocking? The driveshaft is a very common culpret. Sometimes the bolt comes loose and it knocks around.

I have the same noise in my IX. Never had the problem with my VIII. Almost sounds like something is rattling inside the dash. I can't pinpoint the source.

Probably a good idea to check all your engine mounts.

I had an old car make that noise ended up being the sway bar bushings yours is pretty new though.

My aftermarket DP hits the tie bars, it sounds exactly like what you are describing. I need to get some spacers

It might... cause when i changed out my stocker for the HKS DP I noticed the stock one was pretty close. And now the 3" aftermarket one is waaayyy close. If it is that either spacers on the tiebars or motor mounts?

if you're hearing the sound when turning, i can almost guarantee that it's your rear diff. check fluids and if fluids look good, add some of the lsd friction modifier. no biggie
