Is there a huge difference bet a evo 8 and 9 rear spoiler/wing?

 

nope cause I have an VIII wing on my IX!!!!!

it fit like a glove

 

VIII wings are full carbon fiber. IX's are CF centers and plastic sides. Both are the same size.

 

THE only diff is that the early model evo 8's have full carbon fiber spoilers, and the 9's have the center peice only carbon. As far as fitment and shape. There is no difference

The flat part of the wing on a 9 is hollowed out or honey combed at least. You can tell if you knock on it with your hand, and then knock on a 8 wing. 8 wing is more solid sounding.

 

not to mention the insides are carbon on the 8 wing, with 4 dimples?, whereas the IX insides are paint matched - and flat.
the sides are also all CF on the 8 wing, and plastic on the IX.

 

fitment is the same, the only difference is if the inside is carbon fiber or not

 

some have lips on the back of the spoiler only on the ixs or mr

 

yeah the lip is a option you can purchase

 

8 wing wetsanded for FULL CF for the win

but the evo VIII wing is the same as evo IX wing...fitment wise...
but composition wise the VIII is made of full cf...if you were to wetsand the paint off your wing you would end up with a full cf wing...mad jdm tyte yo!

the gurney flap & the front lip behind/under the front bumper are part of the 0 lift package. i love mine.
