help: door locks dont work after boost gauge install

I just installed my boost gauge and while installing the light wirings it accidentally grounded out making a few sparks. After that, everything went well. When i was finished i noticed my door locks didnt work. I checked all my fuses under the dash and under the hood. Everything is fine. Anyone?

EDIT: A/C or heater doesnt work either. The blower doesnt turn on at all for a/c or heater.

Is the door lock system completely down? Can you actuate the locks with the keyless entry remote? Or the button on the driver door? Passenger door?

If none of these mechanisms work, I'd say that you may have damaged the ETACS....or whatever the PCM/body control module is called in the Evo... If it's module-related, maybe pulling the battery cable and reconnecting it can help you...

Good luck...

i connected it on the fuse for the cig lighter. The door lock system is completely down. The parking lights will go on and off with the remote but the door locks dont work.

also, if the ETACS was damaged would the power windows still work? Because everything else works fine.

im not sure but i bet there should be a fuse for the door locks. you might want to check it out. chances are you blew a fuse during the installation. you might have shorted something out.

The fuse for the door locks is fine. I checked it and swapped it out 3 times. It is under the dash

make sure the ground is secure... it sounds like your losing constant and the ground is bleeding out somewhere. If this isnt the case check any places you may have tapped into any factory wires and make sure that area is secure and wrapped. if not try replacing the backup/accessory power fuse...

I hoped you learned your lesson about messing with the wiring with the battery still hooked up.

Check your fuses again... if the blower doesn't turn on it sounds like more of a fuse issue to me and not an ETACS issue. I'm not familiar enough with the electrical system on teh car to give you specifics but start with the fuses / links / relays responsible for the blower and go from there...

The fact that your lights flash when you hit the remote but the locks don't work makes me feel more confident that your ETACS is not damaged...but it's not an impossibility that only a portion of it got broken...

+1 Sorry for the mishap but it sounds like a fuse or relay of some type

You'll have to check continuity and take voltage readings. I can look it up for you exactly what to check. Hang on.
