Can you provide more info about the difference in sound and amount of power lost? Does it sound like something is wrong in the engine bay or does it seem like it's more heard through the exhaust?

How seriously impacted does the car feel? Turbo spooling fine? Idle ok?

It could also be possible that you might need to look over the head??
Could you have over revved or something?? im guessing you can still drive..
describe a bit more about that sound
can you drive it? is it when idling? etc etc.

Head gasket? Check your dipstick to see if you see any radiator fluid in it.

If your car sounds like a suby at every rpm, you're most likely running on 3 cylinders. Check your connections to your injectors or see if one of them went dead. Then check your plugs to see if one of them is fouled black. That would mean your ignition went to crap on whichever cyclinder has a black plug..

it idles mint.. car drives fine.. everything is clean oil wise.. doesnt burn through any oil or go through any coolant..power is just not there..spools normal all the way..im really leaning toward either a tuning problem or the timing is a little off

put brand new plugs in the car... started it up.. took it down the road.. plugs from cylinders 1,3,4 are blackish in color from the rich conditions.. 2 looks like a brand new like the plug never fired.. i had a friend turn the car over with the coil connected to the plug grounded to the block.. got spark... so no fuel?.. could this one injector not be injecting for #2?? ICS did a compression test and everything checked out to be good...

Could have a clogged injector or a bad injector sure. Ohm them all out (with the harness disconnected of course).

Not sure what the values should be for those injectors but if one has a way different reading from the other three BINGO

what cams are you running? I have BC280's and with an open downpipe my car sounds similar to a STI.
