03 evo8 sounds odd

hey guys and gals.. I was wondering what could possible be wrong with my car. It does not sound right and is not making power as it should. It sounds like a WRX at all throttle positions and rpm.. i want to get this sorted out before i head to Sean Ivey in a Few weeks for a tune..thanks for any suggestions to check and consider. Im thinking possible bad coil.. maybe a shot injector? timing off? plugs?

If he blew a hose off his car it probably wouldn't run. If it sounds like a Subie you may have a problem in the fuel system like you said.

Fuel or ignition issue. Start with the basics, just as you listed. Plugs, wires, coils, injectors, blah blah blah.

Blown gasket or a loose nut in your exhaust manifold/downpipe or catback area. Mines did this when one of my nuts was loose and it was leaking.

On the wires that connect to the injectors on my 03 evo, one of them just broke, i dont know how but it did and when i started it one day it was sounding like a wrx, but that is just my 2 cents.
