i cant launch wit new clutch

i just put in a couple weeks ago the act street disk clutch, broke it in for more than 500 miles before i got on it...
today i tried launching it but its bogging out big time, the car just falls on its face when it grabs ... i tried feathering out and still bogs out....and after it smells like clutch... what can be causing this....the car runs fine from a roll if i get on it...can adjusting the clutch pedal do the trick???
any input will b helpful

what RPM are you trying to launch at? are you doing it off the launch control? do you have a launch control? what year is your evo?

Are you tuned, or still running stock ecu. There is a saftey feature that the stock ecu has to make the car bog when your trying to launch it so that you dont damage your drivetrain. This feature is usually the first thing taken out when you are tuned. I also beleive that there is a fuse that you can remove that will disable this feature. Hope this helps

im stuck then...your new clutch engages and disengages completely different from stock, am i right? you might just need to get used to it a little more...otherwise i think jusa4bngr05mr might be onto something about the tune and bog situation...

I have the same clutch and it launches great. I just do a very quick slip and all tires spin. But I have a upgraded clutch line also.

I hear ya, I know when I had my stock clutch, I could bounce it off the 2step and drop it, and it would slip just enough to get me moving, then it would rip, Then when I put the exedy twin in, I had to let it out slower than daily driving until i felt myself roll abit then dropp, cause otherwise it would fall on its face.

Yes, u have to adjust ur clutch pedal after a clutch install.

If I were u I would take it easy on the hard launching. U can break something in the drivetrain and it will cost u alot of $.

adjust clutch pedal

like someone has stated before, it's entirely different to launching a stock setup. You'll get used to it in no time.

+1 Quit beating your car!

If your gonna get on it, punch it from a roll to minimize drivetrain wear.

make sure your clutch is adjusted PROPERLY (google jacks transmissions) and watch the video. its a very good vid. then hold at 5500 rpms ,now this is a very fast process. let the clutch out until it starts to grab, stop for a millisecond and then let it out all the way. at this point your tires should be spinning and you will be saying holy sh#$$@##$$. like i said this is a very fast process and i never smell clutch burning.
