0-60 time with slip clutch in IX MR

What should be 0-60 time with normal start, like in traffic, let's say 2k rpm slip?

I'm getting 6.4 sec. (using DashDyno www.auterraweb.com, it reads speed from ECU) - is it normal or should it be less??

Do 6k rpm dump will shave 1.5 sec from this time?

Car is IX MR 6 speed.

Regards,

Michael

Most Evo's should go 0-60mph in 4.4 to 4.9 seconds stock. You need to get the revs up to get a good time in the Evo.

It's because you're lagging. 6.4 sounds normal with a weak launch. Launch it for real and you'll see the 4 seconds that magazines get.

its all in the launch. If you launch, you will hit those 4's like previously stated in the magazines. But most of them also do a "street start" which is the more common start people will do. 5-60 I believe was in the mid to high 5 second range for the car. 6.4 is close.

6.4 seems a little slow, but its all in how hard your launching it

I also have a IX MR. I have 324whp and 313w torque. I am guessing my 0-60 should be about the same as the BR350 Evo and Buschur rates this one at 3.9 seconds.

I never launch it though, I am afraid to break something. Any car I would be racing would be rear wheel drive and not hook up well either.

Slip the clutch is the only tried and true method to my knowledge. You can't "dump" the clutch on the evo, it will just bog down. It's not an RWD car!

Evo 9

just be careful those 5600 launch's , the drive train does take a fair amount of abuse for that
