Better off parting out or sell as is?
Better off parting out or sell as is?
I am selling my evo here shortly for a supra. I was wondering the best way to get the most money out of it. Would I be better off selling it with the following parts on it, or taking them off and selling them seperately?
cosworth cams 4000mi
exedy twin disk 1000mi
buschur licp 4000mi
buschur exhaust 4000mi
walbro 4000mi
buschur mbc 4000mi
buschur intake 4000mi
i will have to buy a used exhaust and clutch to replace the currents plus the cost of buschur changing everything...is it worth it? How much do you think I'll get out of all of it?

Having to swap out a used exhaust is not bad. But paying someone to swap a stock clutch back in there its just too much money. You wont' get whatever you put into the car. Face your loss and just sell as is.
I agree with the clutch take out all of the rest and part that evo out and try make some money with the mod bc your car isnt worth any more with the mods and the dearler or used car lot is just going jack the price up
you lose they get paid
you lose they get paid
If you still have your stock exhaust I would change them back out yourself as opposed to paying somebody else to do it. As far as your aftermarket cams and clutch you are better off keeping them in. The cost of paying somebody else to swap them out and having to buy a used clutch isn't worth the benefit of trying to get the money you paid into it. You will lose money on that transaction.
have an uninstall party. did that for my STi.
everybody showed up with cash and tools, paid me for the part, removed it and gave me the stock stuff from their car to reinstall on mine. took little to no effort on my part, nothing for labor and in one day i had a stock STi and a bunch of people went home happy.
