Evo won't start

Get home from work today, jump in my evo to run up the street, turn the key...won't turn over.

Battery isn't dead but all I hear is the fuel pump whine. I'm not getting spark or something. I'm leaning towards alternator problems because the car had a new starter installed in Feb.

Even if the fuel pump is shot and I'm getting spark it should at least turn over, correct?

I'm going to check my fuses, plugs, and coils then report back.

Any help in the mean time is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

if the battery isn't dead then i dont think it would be an alternator problem, your best bet would to check your fuses and relays
