tein s-techs

Other than that im always weary of buying used modded sports cars. Well any used sports car. But if you know your friend did all the proper servicing and such go for it. Although I would probably see if price could be dropped a bit.

i think its a little much. you want to make sure its been maintained very well. otherwise your going to end up in the same situation im in right now, but u wont have a warranty.

those are basicly all the first simple yet nice mods. id say after a nice drive i would go for it. the price isn't that bad. the 8's and 9's r holding their value now that they don't make them anymore

I would say get your friends car if you know its very well maintained for sure. But try and get him to drop the price a bit. Maybe to like 22 and that would be a real good deal.

Also as mentioned before get rid of those tien s techs and go with works thats what im saving up for currently.

But I just dont think 25000 is justified for an 04 evo. For a few more thousand or if your lucky the same price, you can get a low mile evo 9

first evo... do yourself a favor and don't buy such a heavily modified one. you don't really know what you're getting into with all that done.

you can get a newer, lower mileage evo for 25k. modifying it is the fun part, do that on your own!

yea its a tough choice however since i work on my own cars i would agree with ^mcDollar. if u don't plan on turning many wrenches then this car may be for u, because if u plan on buyin a stock car and want those mods, the price for parts and labor is going to be ALOTTT

I'm currently looking at a similarly (relatively lightly... it even has the s-techs, too lol) modded 2005 SSL with 39k.

Guy & I agreed on $21.5k, and I should be getting it for this price within the next couple of days. Hope this comparison helps.

It sounds like he's trying to get almost all his money back from the mods he's done. Not much of friend if he's not willing to negotiate, but then again hopefully you know more about the history of the car. I'm pretty sure you can pick up a nice clean stock '04 evo for under 20k. If you want the mods you can do them yourself and it'll be about the same as his asking price.

personally,i look for a car with least number of mods.sure it'll look like a good deal because of the parts and such, but you dont know how hard he/she drove it.

like said before, modding is the fun part.you appriciate your car more.

if you do decide to pick that one up,check the compression, and frame and all that, just to be sure.GOOD LUCK!
