running untuned car on Track .. quick question

Hi. Im doing a track day at Mid-Ohio next weekend. My car is untuned and I have following mods.

Greddy Ti catback
Aspec Ti testpipe
Works 3" O2
Works 3" Dp
Ets 3.5" intercooler
Ets lower and upper pipes
Ets air Intake
Hallman MBc

Is it safe for me to run the car on track untuned with the above mods, if I keep the boost no more than 15psi ? Time is the problem, not $$ .. Just don't have it to drive to the tuner.

15 psi, you should be able to run stock boost with no prob. From your mods I think you'll be running rich which won't be a problem. Another thing you can do is get your hands on some race gas a bump the boost to like 23 psi. You should be good

You shouldn't be driving around on the street with those mods untuned much less doing anything on track. Risk at your own peril, but 15psi is ridiculous, since that's 5 below stock, and having those mods without a tune is just as ridiculous.

You don't need "time" to get at least a base tune through email.

Search this forum for EVO owners near you. Check in the Regional area.

Borrow a Tactrix cable and laptop. Do some logging. Adjust boost either up or down so you have no more than random 1 counts of knock.

If no time for the above, I think you would be just fine at 18psi.

Run stock boost level. Lower boost level will run crappy untuned. A tune would make a great benefit to you. Because you'll be running so rich, and with your bigger exhaust and air cooling capabilities, you can make more power with increased ign timing with less chance of knock.

By looking at my wideband when on boost ATF ratio was about 12-13.

I have tactrix cable, EcuFlash, and EcuScan software, and Ive been scanning, but still new at this. Im going to send my ECU image to TTP-Engineering and let them modify it for my mods. Later on I will get a full tune, but eventually I want to learn how to do it myself.

thx for input guys

Then you're fine - do your plan before going on track and go ahead with 21psi or so. Toss in a few gallons of race gas with your 93 at the track just for safety margin.
