What do you use your Evo for?
Probably one of three things: 1. No track nearby, 2. No money to run the Evo, 3. Afraid of dinging the Evo. Honestly, all three apply to me right now. I love racing, just don't have the time/money/location to do it right now...

And over half of the class entrants at the SCCA National Tour event in DC were Evos.
That's understandable. I hope no North Texas Evo owners have those reasons. Too many tracks in the area with very safe events set up for next to nothing costs for all day events.
Drive On! Just be sure to excercise your pet regularly!

my EVO makes up for masculine deficiencies... without my EVO I would be half a man.
I didn't buy it to race or go fast, I bought it to get the chicks in the sack.
Besides, going fast is dangerous and is detrimental to the fuel mileage of the car, I always do at least 5 miles under the speedlimit and always shift before 3000rpms... Going slow gives the chicks a longer chance to check you out, and shifting at 3k I get 26mpg or sometimes even better.
I originally wanted an STI, but the wing wasn't high enough and it just doesn't have the COOL factor that the EVO has. As soon as the cool factor wears off on the EVO, I'll trade up to something even cooler - maybe that Caddy CTS-V series with some BLING BLING wheels - I bet the chicks would give it up FAST for that!!

I commute 87mi each way daily, I cruse on the weekends and I cat and mouse with any expensive car on the highway worth my time.(when it's safe). I live 30mi from Summit Point in WV. I haven't made it there yet, but I will!
1) Weekly Sunday afternoon high speed run to Yosemite and Sierra High Country
2) Weekly Saturday and Sunday runs around sierra foothill roads and some real fun dirt roads around my house
3) Hi speed grocery getting and dinner dates with my wife
4) 4 wheel drifts going up my buddy's twisty dirt driveway
5) The occasional weekly commute between Coarsegold and Roseville, which this Friday will be 187 miles on 2 lane Hwy 49 between Auburn and Oakhurst through California gold country in the Sierra foothills.
I'll take my unlimited mountain road driving over track time any day.. .at least for now. But I would like to hit a track soon to LEARN to drive better.

Road Course Racer
Malibu Canyons Runner (3 times a week at NIGHT)
I found that I wasn't driving my car enough, I've taken a couple 600+ mile trips, but I only live 3 miles from work, so it doesn't get driven that much. So last week I started running the Malibu canyons at night around 11:00p-1:00a. I did it 3 days that week, and plan on making it a regular occurance. No matter how hard I try though, I will never be Takumi Fujiwara!!!!
