my car did this to i couldnt pull back on the handle the whole way and had to pull the nossle out a little bit one i filled my tank and my gauge only read half for awhile then shut the car off started it back up went to full

 

I've trying to fix this problem on my car for a while now. Seems like it only gets worse to a point where you can not pump the gas automatically at the pump.
