rpm sticking... answers?

i don't know how to describe this but what's happening is when i turn on my air conditioning my rpm sticks where ever i get it up to. for example i would try to shift from first to second at 5k rpm, when i push in the clutch to shift the rpm is still at 5k and when i am trying to decelerate by not pressing gas the rpm is still at 5k where i left it. in order for me to lower it i have to downshift and have the gearing naturally slow it down. when i just leave it to coast in neutral it still stays up in that rpm range where i left it. and this all happens when i turn my air conditioning on. when i have the a/c off it rarely does it but as soon i turn it on, this is what happens. right before this started happening i had fp green turbo setup put in the car w/ a custom dyno tune. could it be the tuning or could it be a certain part that caused this?

when you say stick do you mean if you rev it up to say 5k and put in the clutch it stays constant at 5k or does it just go down unusually slow?

it doesn't go down unless i downshift or when i break, it's really weird, it just sticks but also when i let it go for like 30 secs then it slowly goes down

from the sounds of it I doubt a/c has anything to do with it. Its normal though. I did a search because my car had the infamous throttle hang awhile back. All I had to do was pump the clutch twice to avoid the throttle assist or whatever it was.Once I got flashed it was gone though.Assuming you arent tuned of course.

Yep same thing happened to me. Really annoying. Its either that or your throttle cable might have a slight kink somewhere.

Have a friend look at the cable when you push the throttle in...my cable actually moved inside the engine bay. We arranged it so it didn't take any extreme angles and hasn't done it since.

I also have to align the butterfly valve in my TB so it doesn't rub against the TB wall.

interesting, so it doesn't have much to do w/ the a/c being on?
