intercooler

if i put on a larger fmic and my car was not tuned, will this cause any problems?

Well duh!!! If you are going to be able to move more air how could it not have an effect on it? You should have it tuned to get the most out of it.

It will not cause problems unless it restricts radiator flow. It cools down air more efficiently, but the best any intercooler can do is ambient air temp. I guess you could get a tune for every degree in temperature change LOL but it wont cause any problems

how the hell would a bigger intercooler cause problems.... it will help with reducing heat soak...

i wonder where did you hear it??
if anything bigger fmic will net you lower boost pressure which is good since you dont need to boost higher while keeping the same amount of power or could be more..dunno yet u haven't dyno my car after the install.

and to answer above question..you dont need to have a retune with bigger fmic and piping..but then again to have retune is always good
