Cam Install Price?

Hey guys, i am wondering how much you have paid out the door to have cams, spring/retainers, head gasket, and headstuds installed? I have gsc s2's, gsc dual valvespring/retainers, cosworth hg, arp headstuds.

I would say between 350-600 bucks. People charge different rates. Best bet is to find a local person that has the tools/experience to do it for you. That's gonna be your best rate...

I did that and was offered 800, then a shop offered the same. And i thought that sounded kind of high which is why i was asking.

i charge 150 for cams only (the job takes less then 2 hours to do). 150 additional for springs retainers with the head on the car. for headstuds and headgasket i would think you'll be at least in the 800 dollar range if not more. pulling the head is a PITA with the intake manifold, not to mention your redoing the timing belt.

yeah it depends on what you want to do..

we pull the head to do studs etc etc... new gasket, but we bundle labor to make it more reasonable for our clients....

especially if ur getting a tune
