i just installed gsc s2 cams,supertech valve springs and retainers and arp headstuds on my evo 8,i have stock internals with a gt35r on,my previous rev limit was 8000 rpm,after the cam install can i still rev to 8000rpm with stock internals?

 

Should be able to. I believe most people with stock block set their rev limit around 7800 - 8000. Installing cams with springs shouldn't affect the rev limit.

 

How much do you boost with 35R on stock block? How long do you expect the whole setup to survive?

 

I'd like to know how long this setup should usually survives on a conservative tune.

OP your fine to rev to 8k thats what mine is set at to

 

Damn 30k on that setup!? Maybe I should forget about jumping right to a built block for that then.

And yes my tuner said he'll set it at 8k with these same exact mods.
