rev limit question...

hi, i downloaded the v7 rom 96530706...and now i having rev limit issues, i have set my stationary rev to 5500 rpm and normal rev to 8000 rpm, but it exceede's both...

what should i do?

i remember reading about that somewhere but cant find it, if anyone can post that thread or tell me what is wrong that be great!

and oh, im also having cel issues, evoscan gave me this..

P0141 Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Fault (Rear)
P0403 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Control Solenoid Circuit
P0243 Turbocharger wastegate solenoid 1 circuit
P0090 Fuel Pressure Solenoid Circuit

if i disable these in the perphery bits, it wont cause any problems right?

If you drive an Evo 8 i recommend switching to the 94170715 rom,i had weird issues like that myself when trying to use that rom,i use the 94170715 for all of my tunes with no issues, most of the codes you have are due to removing the solenoids and such, just kill the process on the periphery bits and it will be fine.

isnt there any other way for the rev limit issue to be solved then changing the rom?
it will be my third rom i changed....

and yes, i've removed the solenoids, but what about the P0141 Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Fault (Rear) code, if i disable that, it wond disable my aem wideband right?

Even when there could be a solution for your rom i don't think it's worth the trouble trying to find it,switching to a new rom is really easy, when i started having issues with the same rom you're using i switched to the 94170715 rom and everything worked the way it should plus there is no downside to switching,is not like you're losing something from switching to a different rom id.Terminating the process via periphery bits should not affect your wide band unless you have it hooked up to your ecu instead of the normal O2 sensor, then it wouldn't read it.

The xml has errors in it that EcuFlash 1.43 doesn't allow. You can either use 1.42, which tolerates them, or I can send you my xml this evening which should have those errors corrected.

thanks buddy, it helped fix the rev limit problem

now just one more thing to ask you, right now im having 7 CEL codes thrown at me..

P0141 Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Fault (Rear)
P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
P1400 Manifold Differential Pressure (MDP) Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P0183 Fuel tank temperature sensor circuit high input
P0403 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Control Solenoid Circuit
P0243 Turbocharger wastegate solenoid 1 circuit
P0090 Fuel Pressure Solenoid Circuit

three of them are new, if i disable them..that wont be a problem right?

i know why some of the CEL's are there..

im not running a cat...P0441
im on a aftermarket wastegate...p0243
im on a aem wideband, maybe thats causing...P0141

but for the other i dont know disabling them will not cause damage to the car?

and thanks for all your help man

Do you still have the rear o2 sensor instealled? If not that explains P0141. It's not because you have a wideband.

do you mean by the aem wideband o2 sensor that comes with the kit?

i dont know if there is a stock o2 sensor installed or not,i do have the front o2 sensor, when i bought the car the aem wideband came with it...how do i check if there's a factory o2 sensor in the rear?

and if there is one do i just take it out...and if it isnt there can i just disable it?

Check under the car to see where the wideband is located. If you're getting the rear o2 heater CEL chances are the stock rear o2 was removed and the wideband was placed in it's place.

If there's no rear o2 on the car then yes disable the rear o2 CEL.

As for the others, I wouldn't start disabling every code just to get rid of them. If they get thrown in the first place, there's a reason for this. Figure out why each code is there and if it turns out that the code is thrown in error (or expected, like the rear o2 heater since you don't have one), then I'd start disabling them.
