Warranty work

Im buying a 2006 TB evo next week. Car is VERY clean but has seen time on the highway and the paint on the bumper mesh is worn off in some spots. Now, i know i can go to mitsu and yell to get it covered (ill still have the 5 year 60k) but have any of you tryed to get it done. Worst comes to worst where can i buy new ones cause these are the only things holding the car back from being nearly new thanks in advance- Tom

You will NOT be able to get them to fix paint or the mesh, it just won't happen. Not trying to **** in your cheerios, "Normal wear" is what they will tell you, you'r on your own.

I wouldnt expect much from Mitsu and my Evo only has 14k miles and my front bumper has quite a few rock chips as well. Im just gonna pay for it out of my pocket and have it repainted and then have the 3m clear paint protection film applied.

What makes you think that paint is covered under warranty? I'm not aware of any automobile manufacturer that covers paint under their warranty. That is classified as wear and tear just like brake pads and tires.

bumper mesh? it would take approx. 20 minutes to paint that black again... not exactly a big deal.
