Holy sh*thole, Batman! That car's fast!
Couple of thoughts:
1. What fun is it when you go to a track and everyone else pulls over and gets out of the way?
2. What crazy track would allow cars and motorcycles to run the track at the same time? I would be sh*ttin my pants if a car blew by me like that.

Yeah it's fast and it it hasn't had that much done to it. The driver is very good though and he obviously knows the ring well.
The ring is a one-way, public toll-road, not a track, so not allowing people to over take is a little naughty and there would be some angry drivers at the end of the lap
Don't most people on track days allow faster cars through anyway? Even in racing if you're lapping faster in it's kind of an unwritten rule to let the lapping car pass.

It's becoming so common to see Time Attack and Track Day Evo videos, not that it's a bad thing, but it's refreshing to see an Evo running 10/10ths on the stage of stages, the Nurburgring. I loved when he just ate up that older 911 and those Lotus7/Caterhams.
Man, you're missing out!, The Nurburgring is the absolute highest level road course there is. Do some searching around the Net man, it's been the world's best road racing testing ground for so many years. Currently the Vette z06 ZR1, is topping the production car lap times, with a time of 7:26. Recently there was a little rivalry between the ZR1 and the GTR. The 'vette came out on top, for now. (lets wait for the GTR v spec)

The ring is the holy ground for almost all performance production vehicles, they will all usually make it to the ring at some point before they are released to the public.
GTR-V is out to defeat. ZR1 is a beast of power compared to the original tested GTR.
