Daytime Running Lights

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum ... Just Sold my extensivly modified Volkswagen to buy an Evolution IX to bring into Canada since the bumper laws changed a few weeks ago! I just got back home from Jacksonville Florida to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada with VW4life's 06' Evo SE.

One of the kickers' in Canada, is to pass federal inspection there must be Daytime running lights ...

Any idea how I can hook these up myself? Is there a "kit" availiable? Take it to the dealer?

Thanks!

ZB.

I would wire the fogs to run as DRLs. I don't think it would be too hard.

just keep your parking light switch on all the time for inspection... it will turn off when you take the key out and open the door.

Thanks for the quick responses ...

The parking light idea might work. The RIV have "Canadian Tire" setup to do federal inspections after importation ... for those of you not in Canada, Canadian Tire is a hack job chain accross Canada that every idiot that needs their car fixed takes their car too ... I might be able to get away with it. If not, I need to re-pay for another inspection though ...

Otherwise, with hooking up the fogs as DRL's what would be involved? I know with the older DSM's there was a kit availiable for the 3000GT's etc. for $29.99 ... I'm curious if the same would be availiable.

The more answers the better .... Thanks again.

ZB.

Thank you! ... I searched for DRL's but couldn't find what I was looking for. I'll check that out now.
