18 cure drifting????

18" will reduce the tire wall to only an inche or two. I really don't think that'll cure your drifting problem. You should try changing to a better set of tires or modifying the suspensions.

Good luck

There's nothing wrong with drifting. It's how you adapt and control the car.

I've got 18" DTM chromies (lightweight battle wheels) on my EVO 4 RS wrapped in 225x35s bridgestone S03's ... The difference in grip I had was very noticable.

About the ride quality of the EVO VII, I have a a WRX with and STi suspension and I though the ride was pretty harsh (the tuner who installed it for me said that it was the stiffest suspension he has ever seen on a road car) but the EVO is far beyon that. It's ok when you are driving but you can really feel it when you are the passenger. I love it though.

The car was designed to run on 17's and its been doin great all around the world with 17's. The only thing bigger rims are gonna do is throw off the gear ratios and ruin the car.

The tires used for most 18x8 wheels on an evo 7 is 235-40x18. the stock is 235-45x17. In most tires the difference is .1 of an inch.

so the speedo and gearing will not be affected.

I suggest looking at Volk TE 37 or the new even lighter CE28Ns.
