should i trade my evo 9 mr se for a evo 10?
Does anyone else think the X looks better than the IX? I mean if you want "grown-up and refined" you should be shopping for BMWs or something...
Evo X is luxurious?
That being said, I'm no X fanboy. I like the IX better and I love the X in its own way, and I personally wouldn't trade up from a IX to an X. There will never be another 4G63.
Completely agree with ^^^^. If you sit in the X its "luxury" veneer is completely washed away. It feels cheap and the cloth seats feel cheap. Atleast the 9's interior looks like its quality
The X isn't "luxury" in any way, and it's pretty evident that people who keep saying this haven't been in an X. It's definitely more "refined," and it looks more like every other car on the road, but there's nothing luxurious about it. By today's standards, it's still a pretty sh*tty interior, and offering navigation and cruise control is done for virtually every car on the market now, not only luxury cars.

the post starts good but turns a little funny way. I agree if you dont wanna trade the IX to X. It is i think a bad financial move. But basically that is all.
The X is easy to shoot up to over 450 whp with bolt ons only. No meth etc.
So the "There will never be another 4G63" is a fact. But i dont think you mean it that way ...
The new engine might not hold 1100 whp. But who drives like that?
I think the 98% of the evo owners will drive and drive they cars under 460 whp.
And for that the 4B11T is plenty enough, as it stands today. With backed up race numbers/facts/ and so on.
Not to mention you still running a 100% long block not like the 4G63T engine. So actually where is the limit for the 4B11t? i'm sure it holds less then 1100 whp , but what happenings when you open up the engine and start working on it? We know now for sure the 4B11T does hold boost and runs close 500 whp without meth etc un opened. so stock vs stock long block the 4B11T is a better engine by numbers . As i understand the progress of it.
Also the Evo X body is much more rigid, the drive train is MUCH better. Also if you want to keep it civilized then you still better off with the X.
I'm not taking anything away from the IX ,and you guys should do a same with the X. You got to realize it, the X as just as capable Evo then any others . Evo is an Evo, period.
And being not as RAW as the IX i'm happy to let you drive mine for a spin to decide that.

I have full interior etc. ONLY coilovers , catback, drop in, modifyed stock air box, rims and tires.

I test drove 10 like 4 times and I am VERY impressed with 10, with that said...
I like both, but I firmly believe that 9 gives better steering input compare to X. I believe many magazine gave that to 9.(stock vs stock, I'm sure you can easily change that with mods...I just much prefer the feel of my 9)
Now it is proven that X is no joke when it comes to making some serious power so if you want to mod, then x wouldn't be bad either.
I prefer the feel of 9 and I also know the car alot better then when I first bought my 9 new. It's just really a preference and deep discussion with your wallet
Good luck, and if you are in Vancouver WA, look more into different dealer and I do NOT recommend Beaverton Mitsu

Keep the 9! Just test drove the 10 and its a very niice car and with the sport package and all, still doesnt feel like as good as the 9..
Dont get me wrong. If i had enough money, I would have my 8 and the X! The X looks hottness when lowered with wheels!!

I came from an 04 ///M3 and 9 ...............I LOVE THE X BIG TIME................I just ordered mines two days ago after joy riding it for 2 days (MR)..............It's just too bad for me cuz I have to wait 3 months since I'm going through my wifey's employee discount from Mitsubishi Motors in Cypress California.
ix mr se is like no other evo outthere plus if you trade in ou gonna loose alot of money. i want a evo x mr too but when i test drove it felt good but not all that impressed for me to do a trade. i'll consider buying one but not trading if you want make a wish list of what you want out of each car. see how much money mods will run+car price and that should help you i guess thats what i did and parts are expensive on both but i guess for me it was cheaper on the ix.
