27 MPG with next to stock EVO VIII
I average just under 22MPG city driving...around 250-260 per tank city driving with about a gallon to spare...when I fill up its alway just under 13 gallons...hope that helps...my car is stock except for tune...I guess if I added a TBE it would be more efficient...lol...
I got 40+mpg on my car when going down to ATL never passed 18% on the throttle never once hit boost 1 1/2 tank to get there was not bad at all. My car had afc,880,cams the list goes on and on. Not bad for a 785 mile trip to my sisters
I can get about 260-270 on a tank if I drive very carefully. I have not noticed any benefit to driving at 60mph vs 70mph. I will also disable my boost controller (using the lowest possible setting) in non spirited driving so the wastegate opens sooner and makes it harder for me to boost.
When I rev match I notice I lose gas mileage vs just keeping it in gear and engine braking almost to a complete stop.
I also run high tire pressures 90% of the time, about 40psi front, 36 rear. It is the same or similar tire pressures that I use at the track, so I just keep them there. I have still be having tire rollover issues at those pressures so I might increase them even more.
I have not noticed any major difference between running without A/C and with A/C but I haven't tested that out a great deal yet.
I also don't have an EGR valve on my imported Evo, which from my understanding improves fuel economy. Lastly I hope to try a new turbo with less low end spool to see if I can improve both fuel economy and speed on the track.

I average from 160 to 190 miles on a half tank (my fill point) driving mostly rural roads the rest city. Figured I am getting around 22 to 25 MPG. Nothing spectacular but certainly decent. And I am full stock.
