I've seen an Evo set up like that but, I can't remember where.

As far blanking out the seat back area I would just use a flat sheet of carbon not heavy plate aluminum. You are going to add enough weight with the seats and mounts, no point in carrying around 5 more lbs of blindingly shiny polished aluminum.

You guys are on crack if you think a racing seat is going to fit where the stock rear seat is now. Go remove the rear seat and you'll see what I'm talking about.

You dont really like to think before you post do you? Theres a reason why theres a bench back there and not seats. Any regular bucket seat like you asked will completely hit the roof and make your rear window useless almost. Not to mention anybody sitting in the back will look liek their riding in a double decker bus.

too bad you cant do it like the evo x concept. that would be nice but would require a lot of fabrication.

There is not enough room in the back for it. If you do it you would either have to cut the seat to have some type of view which would kill the look your going for or redo the whole floor of the evo which would cost a arm and a leg to do. Plus you will need to run a fuel cell becasue the gas tank is right under the rear seat. Plus it would be stupid to add that much more weight to the mid section of the car and you will end up being slower then you where before.

Waste of time and money end of story...

Agreed with everybody. There's not enough room to do it. It would look ridiculous and even with some short seats and mounting them extremely low, you would still have clearance issues and it would look ridiculous.
