Thinking of making a 2+2 EVO

Anyone here remove the rear seats and installed two bucket racing seats yet, like the front seats?

what do you guys think of removing the rear seats, wrap any exposed metal in the OEM carpet, close the trunk hole with some heavy sheet metal (I'm thinking of 1/8" aluminum leaving it polished) build some sort of middle arm rest also wrapped in OEM carpet, and install two rear racing seats fixed mount (probably OEM if i find them).

everything should cost under 1 grand I think?

can you guys picture it?

i can see it in my head but where/how will you mount the seats?

wont they sit a bit high on the bump under the stock seat?

i think it may look a little wierd, if it is happening like i see it in my head.

i don't think thats gonna work...the back is raised a bit where the bottom portion of the rear seats are. That hinders you from putting a regular driver/passenger style seat that hits the bottom. That's why they are benches.

Personally, i think having a 2+2 in an evo would look ridiculous.

But its not my car i guess.

What would be the benefits of having two racing seats in the back be? Is this only for looks or are there going to be a team of four in the type of racing being done with the vehicle?

The rear seats sits a bit high and with the stock front seats on it, it'll be hella funny but good luck though. Post us some pic if you're doing it.
