My Evo and I go play in the snow every chance we get, its tons of fun, but I do think with more power its a little crazier, even when it rains I can lose traction at full boost. But these things are made for the snow, I try to get mine stuck for fun, of course nothing to crazy but try stopping in the middle of a hill and then just drive up it. For winter I put on some snow tires and they are great.

if you want a decent all-season that is decent in the summer/winter. try the falken 512s. i have ran these on my wrx for 2 years and have had zero problems. i just put a set on the evo.

I bought this car for snow...my GTI did more in the snow then most SUV's, and I'll be damned if the EVO does more then most Hummers.

I wouldn't do much driving with the stock advans, but other than that, its a blast to drive. Just make sure you know the area you are driving in and there are no hidden bituminous parking stops or curbs or whatever.

Whats a snow? Winter in Alabama is like 50 degrees. Maybe I could just go find some dirt roads.

I haven't experienced real snow in my Evo yet, but I remember my Alltrac Celica and Hankook iPikes would throw 15ft tall rooster tails on the highway while cruising through a foot of snow at about 45-50mph. I was passing people on a two lane highway in those conditions, I got quite a few crazy looks.

I can't believe you asked this.... It's awd, and it's been years since these cars came out.

But anyways I drove on the stock advan A13's through snow for a little bit wasn't much fun... Then I put some blizzaks on. AWESOME the car goes through any thing.

I believe any M+S rated tires should be very good in the snow. Also, someone should correct me about this. Having M+S tires with the AWD system would bypass you to use chains correct?
