oil change gone bad!

Alright guys thanks for the replies. I know this is gonna eat at me until next oil change so I'm probably gonna try pull the drain plug out and cover the hole real quick. Wish me luck

You should be fine. Just replace the plug every other oil change. That's what I do.

just take some rtv and put it around the edge of the plug until the next oil change.... it will keep it from leaking. then just put on a new crush washer when you change it again

r u kidding me i've seen some vehicles with 200,000 and not once have they changed there drain plug. lol.

Use a clean drain pan, let the oil drain out and when it is emptied, get the crush washer on, put drain plug back on, and refill with oil....that way you dont spill any and make a mess.

get washer, do not drive the car (why risking it) YOU CAN take the plug out and just make sure to put gloves on and plug it with your finger, put washer on and screw it back in, add some oil, done.

we used to do this from time to time when i worked at a lube shop. and it worked fine everytime. and actually my evo didnt have a washer for the first 50k miles or so. and never had a leak. but i did end up buying a pack of washers from oreillys though.
