2006 Evo, Salvage title

I found this car on autotrader, what do you guys think it's worth? It has a salvage title due to a theft recovery (seats, ecu, intercooler, and turbo were taken). There are only 9k miles on the odometer. I feel that he's asking too much, but I would buy it for 14k-15k cash. What are your opinions?

I wouldn't go any higher than 12k on a salvage title

I think $14K would be the highest I go... That car will be a huge hassle to sell if you ever decide to sell it in the future

True, he's asking 21k for it which is a lot! It would have to be worth my while, I just don't want to email him an offer that would be insulting.

Even if it is an insulting offer, who cares? It's the internets.

Yeah I guess. I offered 13k cash. I think that's fair enough even though it's never been in an accident.

salvage basically cuts the cost of the car in 1/2 I am sure he only paid about 9k for it.

are you serious man, your clueless. you think a 2006 Mitsu Evo IX is worth only $13,000 in perfect condition? You must still be wearing diapers still lol. That car if nothing is wrong with it and stock is worth $26,000.

It's the title that lowers the cost dude^ The mere fact that it has a salvage title makes it less apealing to most.

A salvaged car even in perfect condition does not have the same value as a car with a clean title.
