Urgent Recall Notice HUH????
Never heard of this, but you should call them back and tell them to give you the part to DIY and see what kind of BS they pull out of their *** this time.

Recalls are issued by Mitsubishi, not the dealership. If there is a recall on your car you should have it performed since its FREE and its for your own safety. They can not legally give you the part to replace yourself, but if you're overly **** and think driving an Evo is something special for a Mitsu tech then feel free and watch them install the replacement part in front of you. I have not yet heard of this recall, but its very possible it affects only a limited VIN range from MY03.

With the economy as bad as it is, they are probably trying to create there own "Stimulous package". Example: They probably aren't getting much business, so they wanna take your car and replace a part with a defective part. And when it breaks, they are hoping that you will take it to them for the pricey repair!
Probably not, but hey, with Mitsubishi you never know! lol

Sometimes dealers DO send out recall notifications. The recall sounds ridiculous tho.
It's so slow at dealerships with the economy right now, they try everything to get you to come in. When warranty work is performed the dealer charges MMNA for the work. Money in their pocket.

Recall notice was def from the dealer. Im not really an **** person but I dont have your run of the mill evo either. I'm sure any tech in there would love to take my car for a joyride.
Obviously I know they cant give me the part to replace myself. However I would much rather pay for and install it myself. I just dont trust the ability of 90% of dealership techs Ive come in contact with over the years. Especially Mitsubishi
