yes thats what i thought. but is it possible that it was removed when the car was tuned and Ecu was flashed?

and if yes, do i now slip the clutch, or try to dump it at a certain rpm for a good launch?

slipping is a must wen launching an awd car . depending on mods you shuld try to rev to around 5-6 k using a blip technique and slip from there. i do beleive it is possible to edit out the 2 step beats my why some one would do this. mabe to get a higher limit on it?

I have an 8 and was wondering if I had the 2 step. So the car has to be in first?

Yes i believe if you take it to a shop, the tuner can remove the 2step. Mine was raised to 6k when I got tuned.

I'm not sure what the guys who don't have this 2step do when they launch the car. If you just hold it at a certain rpm lik 6k, then its different than me doing the same thing in my car. I'll be bouncing off the 2step at 6k but building boost at the same time while the other car w/o 2step will just be holding engine speed of 6k and I imagine not building boost. Not really too sure how those guys do it. Maybe they can chime in. Do you guys just stab the gas while keeping the rpms up?

Yup, all Evos 05+ came with a 5.5k rpm stationary rev limit(two step).
