Paypal gives you a good feeling of protection, but in reality paypal's protection is minimal and it's not even guaranteed. It's not hard for someone to dry out a bank account and at that point there aren't any funds to be reclaimed so you're SOL if you're looking to recover funds. The only exception is that if you draw your balance from a credit card and pay with that through paypal in which case you can dispute the charge with your CC company.

the only time i don't really accept paypal is when someone doesn't have a confirmed address. the problem is i find that this happens more often than not. paypal should just require people to confirm their address. it would save everyone so much time.
