AEM boost gauge

I am looking into to getting the AEM boost gauges(http://www.extremepsi.com/store/cust...cat=748&page=1) before i purchase this i got a few questions. first does the boost gauge run off some kind of sensor or is a vacuum tube like the autometer? If it does have a vacuum tube why does it cost 160 dollars more? If it does have a sensor can i log boost or can only a map sensor do that? i tried searching this topic but i can seem to find anything. any comments are appreciated thanx

Its a great guage, as I have it! It runs off of a map sensor and has an output wire.

Would this be able to interface with a EVO X MAP sensor? I'd like to both display the pressure on the gauge and log it with EVOScan.

You dont have to use the map sensor in the hole on your manifold. It also includes a barb that you can run a vacuum hose onto. So you can use it as a map sensor, or you can use it as just an electrical boost gauge.

And it includes everything you need.
