This topic is discussed like every week or so and I say every time i get a chance. The best thing you can do is make sure you have full coverage insurance. Because you car if stolen will most likely will be stolen by a professional thief not some kid going for a joy ride and not some noob trying to chop it himself. It'll be a pro, with a tow truck and the thief will do some research and watch you for a couple of days to see if you have a routine so he can pick your car up unattended. So full coverage is the best thing you can do. Park it where a camera can see it. Block it with not so valuable cars. Don't take it to malls , restaurants, or theaters. Just in general try not to leave it accessible for a tow truck. Evos have an immobilizer so unless your thief is skilled and equipped he isn't driving it away. An alarm is just good for making noise but it will detour thiefs looking for a easy steal, so its not a bad idea but don't go crazy with it. And remember the alarm is only as good as the installer.

lojack? i have it installed in mine. not sure if it works, haven't had to test it ::knocks on wood:: They claim a 90% recovery rate within like 3 hours of it being stolen. so even if all your fuse removing and steering wheel removing and trunk monkey doesn't work at least you have a good shot at getting it back in mostly one piece. dealer installed for like $600. kinda bugs me though, i have no idea where it was installed or what it looks like... i would hate to change out a part in my car to find out later that my lojack was installed on it....

My friend that had an AEM EMS installed used to just take his EMS with him.

I agree with Guru though. The best thing you can do is have good insurance coverage. If they really want your car they'll get it.
