GPS Locator. theft is going to happen. At the very least, the cops will be able to find it. It's very easy to tow a locked, engine disabled, honking car.

Its all about a portable air compressor...

Every time you park, let the air out of all your tires. Most thieves probably wont get very far on flats. But they may still try. So you might want to use a boot as well.

Then carry a portable air compressor in your trunk to fill the tires when you are ready to go. I don't recommend trying this on quick stops...

Seriously. It doesn't matter what kind of security system you put on your Evo. Fuel cut off, alarm, boot, club, EMP, baseball bat, large pit bull. None of them work when your car is on the back of a tow truck then sitting in a garage for a month. GET A GPS LOCATOR. I would rather be sitting in my car with a new rear window than wondering which of the 500,000 garages in chicago it's parked in and how if I ever do see my car again it will be an empty shell or in the next box of paper clips I buy.<---- mine was stolen a couple weeks ago. I'm being 100% serious.

I have a compustar and at first I loved it, but now it's almost pointless. Thankfully I park my car in a garage at home and I work at a government facility that has a guarded gate, so 90% of the time I never have to worry about my car. But when a car alarm goes off at the mall or some parking lot most people just ignore it. I don't know how good the imobilizer is in the compustar but I hope it's as good as they claim. Hate to come out from somewhere one day and my car is MIA.

the only 100% is the tephra patch. in that patch you can set the RPM limit to 100 so basically the car will not even start. there is nothing to short out to bypass because its in the ECU. The only way they can steal your car is if they flash the car.
