"This noise is normal" is less meaningful without specifying a typical decibel range.

Mitsubishi techs originally told my service foreman that the whine coming from my transfer case was "normal". They didn't realize it was an 87dB noise (in the cabin). Fortunately the foreman knew better.

93Civ, you aren't missing anything by not watching the video's. Trust me. They just go over when you should perform the oil change, rotate tires and other things.

Honda fixed the S2000's decceleration problem with a TSB, I wonder why Mitsubishi won't.

Because Mitsu is a third-teir brand and will continue to be until they bite the bullet and own up to shortcomings and actually make their $30k car worth $30k.

The paint quality, the clutch issues, and the wet weather issues all reek of sub-$20k products. So does most Mitsu service depts.

Now that they have a $30k vehicle they need to take a page from other brands that have cars in that price range and learn what owners of vehicles in that cost bracket expect from their service and their vehicles.

Or they can just keep sucking and wonder why the sales are low.
