I'd like to introduce my new project to you..

This is the 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evolution-1.. It's a 4WD torsen differential, a breakthrough in this period with a 2liter 16valve Turbo..

This car, in its Rally version, headed the world rally championships back in the 90's for almost 7 years on.. For some, this car is the legend of all rally legends in view of its supreme dominance.. This is the very 'ADN' behind the Mitsubishi Evolution and the Subaru Impreza!

We're set to restore this car back into its original condition and hopefully bring it back to glory!

Nice looking car. You can notice some similarities.

 

That Lancia is badass, I would love to own one! Amazing how it still looks badass even next to a modern aggressive car like the Evo.

now that is knowing your history and where you came from.
That car is like great great grandpa running around the lake. Not very impressive performance wise as the 20 year old running beside him. But it always sparks up curiousity how such an old fart can manage to run like that.

I'm still at the very early stage of the project. A fellow owner here in UAE is gathering a lot of info for me.. Our 'hero' Barbz happens to be a conversant mechanical expert in those very cars and is willing to pitch in..

Being Lebanese myself, the Lancia-HF has been an integral part of our youth! Our country hosts the famous 'Rallye Du Liban' and 'Courses des Cotes' thru the most amazing alpine roads where the Lancia excelled thru many of our champions, such as:

wow the fenders and the hood look identaical almost and the white rims put it in the same ball park
