HID headlights question

HID headlights question

i got a regular evo 9, i guess the gsr without the ssl package, not sure about this, but i wanna get the hid headlights and foglights, can the housings and lights just be swapped out and will it all plug and play, not sure if the wiring is all there for the fog lights and hids???? anyone done this or know??? any help greatly appreciated

the wiring for the fogs is not there, but there is a complete write up on the how to do section

Or you could just purchase the HID JDM headlights that include the harness, ballast, Igniter, and just wire it yourself. Pretty simple to do

does that include the oem fogs, and where can i find these??????????

which means you would still have to swap out the projectors for the correct cutoff.

As for adding in hids, you won't have the stock leveling motors or switch, that is if you want/need em. but they are kinda cool.

i just wanna know if its possible to swap out the oem regular headlights with the oem hid lights and fog lights without having to cut any wires

from what i've read its not plug and play, the wiring is totally different.

Yes, the JDM headlights do not plug and play. For it to be factory you need the USDM hid headlights, headlight harness, fuse box, fog and leveler switches, wiring diagram and time. You could just buy a HID kit for your stock projectors slap them on in 30 min. and call it a day but no fogs. For JDM's, wire up your own plug and play harness for the hid and fogs (the RHD beam pattern is not a big issue to most). The leveler motors can just be left unpluged. Easy stuff. Oh, and SEARCH.
