Why is it.....

why is it the ECU will not kick any codes out yet the CEL is on???

What are you talking about? If the CEL is on you can use various techniques to read the code; OBD-II reader, tactrix cable.

How did you know the ECU did not "kick out" any codes? What method did you use to try to get the codes?

greddy code reader. It was giving me codes before now its not

Try resetting the battery and see if the light comes back or use another code reader.

I had 3 codes and the cel is still on but now it doesnt read any codes.

reset the ecu by unpluging the battery for a few mins hit the brake a few times and plug it back it...might be some weird error in the communication.

Try using a obd2 scanner, it may just be your device that isn't functioning properly

You keep getting the same repsonses over and over again. Have you tried resetting the battery and see if the codes came back or tried another OBD2 scanner? Forget about the greddy reader for now.

k, will try the battery. but thats what i did, i replaced the battery.
