I start mine... set the turbo timer for like 4 minutes.. go inside and eat some breakfeast... when im done the car is warmed up
i still drive it a bit slow nothing over 3-4k rpms so i can warm up the tranny/ tcase fluid

I shift no higher then 2.5-3k without boost until I'm atleast halfway warmed up. Even then I still try to avoid boost durng normal driving whihc is about 60-70% of the time.
It depends on the time of the year and what I'm doing. If it's summer, when the oil temp comes up quickly, I usually wait ~30 seconds before moving and rev less than ~3500RPM until the oil is warm. It doesn't take very long. OTOH, if it's fall, like now, and the ambient temps are relatively low, I warm-up the car if I want to rev high and boost soon thereafter.
Can you wake up in the morning and do a sprint without stretching? j/k. I let mine get pass the first mark, and shift at 2.5-3k until the motor is at operating temp...whatever that means.
I wait 5 sec for the idle to stabilize, and take off gently. I shift below 2k for the first mile, below 3k for the next couple miles, and let 'er rip.
2 years, 37k miles, zero issues, never had to add any oil. works for me.

I believe the manual only recommends waiting ~30 seconds before driving. I think the goal is to make sure everything is lubricated well.
Then of course, its good to put minimal strain on the engine till its warm.
Does the temp needle being in the "warm" position indicate that its ok to spool up the turbos? I ask because this is water temp abut the oil temp is more important for safe turbo function.
