careful if you ask some people of this board, mitsubishis have NO warranty, you drive away and mitsu tells you to go f+ck off.

powertrain is not 7yrs/100,000 read the fine print, all mitshubishi cars sold in america except the EVO. Powertrain is 5 years/60,000 miles.

True. You gotta threaten them and hire a lawyer to bring with you to the dealer, before they'll agree to admit warranted service.

If you race your evo, they will try to void your power train warranty. If you have any problem with your powertrain and the clutch looks like it has been beat on a little bit, you will void your powertrain warranty. I would personally go buy a car where the company selling it supports the use of it in performance driving.

If my car does not have a 5 year 60K im gona go postal on MON at the dealer with a shot gun pointed at his head NO JOKE nobody ****ing lies to me and ****s me when Im paying 31,500

At the dealership I bought from, the finance guy handled all the warranty stuff. He started telling me about the 7 year / 100k powertrain warranty. I asked him if he was sure it had that kind of warranty. He said he thought it did. I asked him to check. Sure enough. It was 5 year / 60k for the power train. He actually thanked me for informing him about this. He said they can get into a bit of trouble if they mess this stuff up.

I find it amazing that Mitsubishi’s flagship car has its worst warranty. I realize it is a performance car and it will be driven like one, but I think they would be selling more cars if they said that they were selling a performance car, wanted it driven that way and would stand by the product. I was also amazed at how little the sales staff new about the Evo. I had to tell the salesperson I was working with about the features. The most she could muster was, "It’s a fast car."

I got an extended warranty too (7/100K for $1000). The extended warranty I had for for my Eclipse really paid off. If you are not into modding the car, an extended warranty is the way to go.

Best wishes,
