Its a pretty easy service... if you have minimal skillz you could do it yourself and save quite a bit of loot...

Yes it's very nessary if you want your engine and drivetrain to last. You don't have to go to the dealer though. You could go to just about any shop that you trust and get the same work done for alot cheaper than what mitsu will charge you. Or you can do it yourself if you have alittle bit of mechanical knowledge

here is a thread of the service we offer here in Maryland... I'm sure you could find another shop that you trust to do the same work.

The only reason i would do it at the dealer is because i want the car to have a good backround check if i ever sell it in the future, which i dont think i will, but you never know ... it cost 500 with tax around my way and my mechanic told me its worth it ... i think imma go for it ... anyone know how long they keep my car for .... i dont wanna be driving my sisters MONTERO SPORT

what is the cost of just the materials to do this. I am at 29,500 right now and will most likely do this myself. Is autozone or something like that the best place to get the items to do this?

Very necessary. I would do it yourself though and just save the receipts.

Cost of your own supplies is under $100... cost of your time... well that's your own call Some of the things like changing clutch fluids and the tranny fluid can be trying on your patience if you have zero tools or experience. But, it makes you feel a hell of a lot better when you did it yourself and know it's done.

Changing the drivetrain fluids is just like changing the oil. Check www.evomoto.com for a full write up on how to do it and it'll tell you what tools and such you'll need.
