Unhappy Something Wrong?

Recently I just noticed that my car is lagging. when i gun it, rpm drops about 500 rpm
goes back up. it happens in all gears. I was on the freeway 5th gear floor the gas, rpm dropped and turbo kicked in after. Mods are Tanabe full exhaust , intake, hks bov with uicp.

do you think cuz of the bov? it never happend to me before.

what type of bov do u have????

If its an hks BOV ditch it and most importantly are you VTA or recirculation???

Did you do a boost leak test???

Re tighten all of your clamps for intercooler piping.

Are you VTA? If yes, then that is your culprit. When you shift, the AFR gets very rich, and the car bogs down and then slowly recovers. I have seen this very recently, so I can relate.

^ definately ditch the VTA, makes the car erratic and drive terrible if not set up properly.

If you have a VTA BOV ditch it for a IX DV.

Check your ICP clamps.

Run a boost leak test.

If all those come out fine, time for a new clutch.

Thanks for all the replies. I have a IX jdm bov and with the hks bov i have recirculation kit. Should I just get rid of hks ssq bov and replace it with jdm bov?
or keep the hks put back the recirculation kit will solve the problem?
what's VTA?

VTA= Vent To Atmosphere, i.e. not recirculated.

this doesn't sound like a clutch problem: the OP is experience a DROP in RPM when he goes WOT.

a failing clutch typically manifests itself as a sharp rise in RPMs while accelerating in a higher gear, without actually going proportionally faster.

So when you "gun it" your car slows down as though you hit the brakes? If not, then your RPMs probably don't just drop, but rather rise and then drop due to the clutch slipping. RPMs can't drop without the car slowing down if the car is still in gear.

That would be awesome if the op actually took your advice.
