HKS Japan ----> HKS America ----> HKS distributor ----> my door.
Why not just ship HKS Japan ----> my door? It lowers time and cost. It just seems backwards. On another note Maperformance has been AWESOME

They're prob just trying to control their product and ensure it does in fact arrive at your door. Plus, would you really want to call Japan and talk to a Japanese-speaking rep if the package never showed up?

its because you are buying it from the HKS distributer here in the U.S. The exchange from the supplier (HKS Japan) and its counter part (HKS USA) is not a retail exchange. This is the principle/parent company supplying the "USA" supplier who is supplying the "distributer" who is buying the part at a wholesale cost. In return the "distributer" is selling to you at retail.
